Milestoness
The Kinetic Battery comes mid 2016. Buyers will later be able to replace the battery easily due to the modular way. The system combines mechanical energy with battery technology.
A kinetic battery gets its required energy from the movement of the wrist. Here the kinetic energy gained by a rotor is converted into electrical energy through a generator. This always charges a lithium-ion accumulator which
progressively gives the energy to the battery.
There will initially be a mere support to improve battery life. Later it should
allow that the battery no longer needs to be recharged. The current results show that
the battery life can be extended from one week to 3 weeks at average movements. It depends on the movement of the wearer of the smartwatch and the intensity of use.
